The Easter egg hunt
Easter Week
A SMALL RITE OF SPRING TO BE EXPERIENCED IN THE GREEN
The Easter egg hunt is a Nordic tradition that has always been part of our childhood, given our Germanic origins. In fact, the legend of the Easter bunny has its roots in Germany.
During Lent, it was forbidden to eat meat and eggs. However, hens continued to lay eggs and, to preserve them, people began to cook them. Some coloured the eggs by adding herbs during the cooking process to differentiate them from other eggs. At the end of the fasting period, families found themselves with many cooked eggs. At the same time, spring brought the widespread presence of many hares in the fields. The Germans began to associate eggs and rabbits with the symbol of fertility, thus giving rise to the tradition of the Easter bunny.
The exciting Easter egg hunt is an open-air activity which takes place along a predefined route. The night before, the decorated and colourful eggs are carefully hidden in the meadow and the next morning the children, equipped with baskets, have fun looking for them, creating an engaging and joyful experience for all.
From Germany, this custom has spread all over the world, involving children in a frantic and fun search for coloured eggs and chocolate eggs, all over the garden.
For children, the egg hunt is the best part of the Easter holidays.
The elements for guaranteed success are all there: candy, chocolate, outdoor activities, colourful eggs, healthy light-hearted competition and, above all, prizes!
The places where we set up the hunt are safe for children, so that they can move around independently. The area is large and full of possible hiding places. Participation is very simple: at the entrance, participants will receive a treasure map who will guide children and their families in the discovery of eggs.
All eggs must be collected in the basket and handed in at the end of the game.
Based on the number of eggs found, a matching prize!
With this game, children's emotional and cognitive spheres are stimulated, moving from surprise and discovery to movement and learning.
AGE OF PARTICIPANTS: 3 to 10 years old
