The Easter Egg Hunt
The Easter Egg Hunt is a Nordic tradition that has always been part of our childhood, given our Germanic roots. The legend of the Easter Bunny actually has its origins in Germany.
During Lent, eating meat and eggs was forbidden. However, hens continued to lay eggs, and to preserve them, people began cooking them. Some even colored the eggs by adding herbs during the cooking process to distinguish them from others. At the end of the fasting period, families found themselves with many cooked eggs. Meanwhile, spring brought an abundance of hares in the fields. The Germans began to associate eggs and rabbits with fertility symbols, thus giving rise to the tradition of the Easter Bunny.
The exciting Easter Egg Hunt is an outdoor activity that takes place along a pre-defined path. The night before, the beautifully decorated and colorful eggs are carefully hidden in the meadow, and the following morning, children, armed with baskets, have fun searching for them, creating an engaging and joyful experience for everyone.
From Germany, this tradition has spread worldwide, engaging children in a frantic and fun search for colored eggs and chocolate treats throughout the garden.
The Easter Egg Hunt is the highlight of the holiday for children.
All the ingredients for guaranteed success are present: candy, chocolate, outdoor activities, colorful eggs, a healthy dose of light-hearted competition, and, above all, prizes!
The areas where we set up the egg hunt are safe for children, allowing them to move around independently. The space is large and full of potential hiding spots.
Participating is simple: upon arrival, participants will receive a treasure map that will guide the children and their families on a journey to discover the hidden eggs.
All eggs must be collected in the basket and handed in at the end of the game.
Based on the number of eggs found, a corresponding prize will be awarded!
This game stimulates the emotional and cognitive development of children, moving from surprise and discovery to movement and learning.
