        OUR HISTORY

        Villa La Viscarda

The majestic 17th century property “Villa La Viscarda”, immersed in a 3-hectare park, located on the hills of Città Alta in Bergamo, has belonged to my family since 1971.
In 2008, we began a project to renovate and restore the manor house and stables, fully respecting the originality of the layout and materials of the time, creating a perfect combination of original features and the comfort of rooms equipped for modern living.
The manor house of about 1,500 square metres overlooks a large terrace dominated by Europe's largest Diospiro-Kako.
The property's courtyards are connected by porticoes in which there are other rooms where one can enjoy a pleasant stay, a billiard room, cellars, laundries, saddlery, dog rooms and car sheds. On the upper floors are guest flats, staff areas and a large barn with great heights.
Other separate rooms are used for equestrian activities: the stables, hay and grain stores and a room for showers and drying the horses; there are also some paddocks and a 40×20 equestrian field for dressage/hostages.
In the park, crossed by the driveway, are numerous tall trees and a beautiful spring water pond.

The desire to make even more beautiful what we have inherited from our German grandfather Herbert, the deep connection with the countryside, animals and nature, since our childhood, later led us to create our farm.
The land reclamation operation took the form of the creation of a small fruit plantation, a mixed orchard, an olive grove, a vegetable garden cultivated with native essences and several bee hives.
We are very attached to the agritourism concept of offering hospitality in close contact with nature and the farm's activities, a concept that you will also find in our cuisine where the vegetable element from our land becomes the focus of our tasting proposal, accompanying the products of other local artisans whose work we value, offering a friendly and professional service that makes guests feel at home.
