SELF-SERVICE FRUIT, VEGETABLES AND FLOWERS
Our orchard is open to young and old alike: a place where everyone can pick fruit and vegetables directly from the plants at peak ripeness, when aromas, texture and nutritional properties reach their peak.
Self-harvesting, a practice that is becoming increasingly widespread in northern Italy, offers an authentic and surprising experience: it allows you to see with your own eyes where produce is grown, touch it, and choose the best fruit, fresh, healthy and at the right stage of ripeness. It is a simple and engaging activity, perfect for spending time outdoors with the family, immersed in nature and the real rhythms of the countryside.
Depending on the season, you can find fruit, vegetables and herbs grown using pure and natural methods, with total respect for the soil and its seasons.
In spring, the fields turn into a colourful expanse of tulips: visitors can pick and choose their favourite varieties and quantities themselves.
The tulip, symbol of spring, is among the first flowers to bloom each year: loved for its elegance, its shape and its incredible range of colours.
In order to participate in the fruit and vegetable self-harvesting, it is necessary to make a reservation, indicating your preferred time slot.
Access to the tulip fields, on the other hand, is free and does not require a reservation.
Admission costs € 6.00 per person and includes 3 tulips. Before entering the fields, a few simple rules for correct harvesting, with full respect for the plants, will be explained.
Please bring your own scissors and baskets for collection.
The harvested fruit and vegetables are weighed at the end of the experience and payment is made according to the quantity chosen.
The cost per cut tulip (without bulb) is € 1.50.
Dogs and other animals are not allowed.
If booked in advance, it is possible to stop for breakfast in the tasting areas inside our 17th-century mansion.
Guests also have ample open-air spaces, equipped with tables, chairs and parasols, to experience the countryside in total tranquillity.
To round off the day, you can visit the farm shop on the estate, where we offer a selection of our products: handcrafted potted fruit and vegetables, honey from our bees and our extra virgin olive oil.
A way to bring home the genuine flavours of our farm.
Here is a small vademecum of things to know before the visit:
- Calculate at least one hour for the visit to the cultivated fields: enjoy the moment without hurry
- Follow the instructions which we will give you at the entrance to pick fruit, vegetables or flowers in the correct way, avoiding tearing and damaging the plants or bulbs.
- Take a complete tour of the fields before starting the harvest. Choose and decide what to harvest, cut only what you have chosen and take all that you have collected.
- Take care not to step on the flowers and seedlings. Always stay on the walkway, respecting those who cultivated the fields and the people who will come after you.
